Afterwards, for those that would like to help the Children’s Ministry get set up for the FALL FESTIVAL, we will serve pizza (workers and families only).
We offer an alternative to traditional Halloween celebration which is both safer, and more meaningful to our beliefs about the soul. If you have truly accepted Jesus as your Savior, then you trust Him. He says that He is making a place for you so that where He is, you might be also. It is the ultimate goal of the Christian to be at home with the Lord. Do you know Him? Come join the fellowship!
The New Hope Cemetery Association will meet at 9:00am. in the Fellowship Hall of the New Hope Baptist Church. Come a little early- 8:30am and enjoy coffee and a continental breakfast. If you have a plot, or a family member has a plot in the cemetery, you are part of our Cemetery Association. Come participate and support this historic cemetery for your family.
We will all meet at the Springtown Senior Center, located at 1070 N Main St, SPRINGTOWN, TX, for a full Thanksgiving Supper with all the fixin’s. There is no charge for this event. Bring a covered dish if you are one of our members and can do so. Bring family and friends and celebrate God’s goodness to us all.
Son Rise Service at 7:30am at New Hope Cemetery (weather permitting), which is located next door to the church. This is just a 30 minute service followed by:
Breakfast is served in the Fellowship Hall at 8:00am
Bible Study is from 9:30-10:45am.
Worship Service is at 11:00am
If you have a loved one buried in the New Hope Cemetery or have purchased lots for future burial, you are considered a member. We encourage involvement and attendance at the two Annual Meetings the first Saturday in May and the first Saturday in November. The meetings are brief and address current concerns and provide transparency of resource and expenditure. We hope to see you at this next meeting date! Please feel free to visit the cemetery and decorate a gravesite if you wish after the meeting.
There will be a luncheon in the Fellowship Hall for the family immediately following the funeral service. The graveside will be at 3:00pm at Mt Olivet. Visitation will be at Mt Olivet on Tuesday evening from 6:00pm – 8:00 pm.
We do ask, for the sake of the most vulnerable, that human contact be limited and handshakes be avoided. We are practicing fist bumps and waving throughout our congregation. We can’t wait for this COVID-19 threat to pass so that we can resume with normal human touch.
