You Will Find
Genuine and Sincere People
Politics are for Washington, DC. New Hope is about being real. It is all about families serving our real and awesome God. Real people with real answers is what you will find in God’s people who are guided by God’s Word.
Biblical Preaching
The Bible, led by God’s Spirit is our guide. It is our goal to bring the Biblical teachings to every day life. The Bible is the most relevant Word ever written.
Meaningful Worship
The full range of worship expression from the old hymns to the contemporary worship choruses; whatever talent God has given you is to be stirred up and used to bring Him glory.
The body of believers at New Hope are saved sinners; nothing more, nothing less. Self-righteousness should only characterize the world and not the church. Any real believer knows that righteousness of the self is neither biblical, nor possible. The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 3:18, Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise. Salvation is the gift of God, not the works of man lest he should boast, to people who do not deserve it and know that they do not deserve it. Hopefully you will find our fellowship to be both down to earth as well as the salt of the earth. Transparently human, there is nevertheless that gift within us which reflects the glory of God, shining His Light to attract others who know they are also hopeless and helpless without Him.
We also believe that the answers to lifes questions are found in God who created life in the first place. We believe that we get to know God through His indwelling Holy Spirit as He reveals His character through His Word. As God spoke from the beginning to create life, He continues to speak through His written Word to create and sustain spiritual life. Just as a baby is dependent on the food of this world for physical life and health, so the born-again believer must feed on the spiritual food of His Word for spiritual life and health. The psalmist reminds us How sweet are thy words unto my taste You can expect biblical preaching and teaching with the full expectation that our answers are found in God and not in man.
