Jesus changed the world over 2000 years ago, yet His message was so different from the world in which He lived. Born into a culture of the poor and oppressed, Jesus taught a new Way of living. Some may attempt to learn it, but Jesus reminds us that He, and He alone, is the Way. Jesus posed the question before religious leaders, “Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or evil?” Our country, in its election year, is faced with the same choices- Is it good or evil? Many do not consider whether it is evil or not, but whether it will achieve their goal to acquire power. When evil acquires power, it is ruthless , lawless, and insatiable. When good acquires power, it is Christlike- it loves, protects, and serves. Listen what the Bible says about this fundamental choice- good or evil, but not both.
