Part of the human condition is the failure to admit deadlines, boundaries, and finality. The whole world had a gracious deadline for 120 years while Noah was building an ark in preparation for a flood. The deadline was only realized when there were no more chances. We think as children, our parents will use their power to extend the deadline, or, as adults, that attorneys and judges will extend the deadline, but there is a deadline beyond which there is no movement. It will happen at your death, or when Jesus comes again. Judgement is ahead. With Christ there is grace and mercy and new beginnings. Without Christ, there is no mercy nor grace…. only FINALITY. What is your choice concerning Jesus?
