Someone has written a song, “If you don’t love your neighbor, you don’t love God”. James, the brother to Jesus, makes it clear that we are to love our neighbor as we love ourselves. Jesus makes it clear to His Jewish audience that he who shows mercy are good neighbors. It is neither the geographical location nor the racial identification that defines a neighbor, rather it is being Christlike towards those people who cross our paths. Can you love God and show complacency or hatred to your neighbor? Listen to what the Bible says about Loving Your Neighbor.
